This company are NOT loft experts as claimed nor are they remotely good at their job. As illustration, a brand new staircase from Stairbox, a specialist stair manufacturer, linking a new loft space to the existing house, which was personally measured, ordered and poorly fitted by Dan Jacewicz but obviously paid for by the customer - subsequently had to be dismantled as scrap and replaced at great additional expense when Building Control confirmed that the top landing leading into the loft space was too small to comply with current regulations. Moreover, this meant that as soon as the inadequate landing access was inevitably increased in size in order to meet the basic legal requirements, the new loft staircase, for which Dan was personally and wholly responsible, was now completely the wrong size and so would never fit correctly into the remaining space. Despite the customer paying in advance for this incompetence; (please note:- Dan only wants to be paid upfront for this kind of work - presumably just in case things go wrong) not to mention the unnecessary and avoidable cost of its replacement, Dan refused to reimburse any money or rectify the situation situation even though this entire embarrassing scenario was 💯% a direct result of Dan's own negligence and ineptitude. In addition, the roof that Dan's team installed leaked badly in multiple locations when it rained and had to be redone by an independent third party professional roofing contractor (who similarly noted that the initial work carried by DC Dan Construction was unsatisfactory and unfit for purpose). Dan even used decorator's caulk instead of silicone to seal around a window because he bought the wrong item by mistake. What a disaster. You couldn't make it up. In summary, this company's work is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. Don't believe the HYPE!

Dan and his team converted our loft in to a wonderful bedroom and en-suite. The whole team are very professional, listen to customers specifications and most importantly communicate really well. Our job was completed to an extremely high standard, and we are super happy with the outcome! Dan is transparent on pricing and willing to advise and work with you on where you can make savings vs. investing so that you don’t have future issues! After a terrible experience with loft conversion company we contacted DAN CONSTRUCTION to see if he'd be able to fix our poorly loftconversion job. He was aware of the amount of money we had already spent having done all works and did everything he could to keep his costs down for us. He was able to start work very quickly and completed the work in a short time period. He was reliable and trustworthy, honestly advising us on what work was necessary, rather than just going for the expensive option. We are finally happy with our loft conversion thanks to DAN CONSTRUCTION. His prices are reasonable and he is very professional. We only wish we had used him in the first place to do all work. He even noticed our front door was rattling in the frame and offered to tighten the latch for us. Could not recommend highly enough, thank you Dan !

Dan and his team have done a fantastic job in renovating our kitchen. He's punctual, has a good eye for details and built the kitchen exactly how we wanted it (the herringbone pattern backsplash looks fantastic!). We had a few issues with the kitchen provider and he was very patient and helped us fix them too. He can basically do anything, from masonry, carpentry, tiling, decorating etc. The quote he gave us was also good and we're very satisfied with how the kitchen turned out. If you're looking for a solid construction company in South London, give Dan a call!

Absolutely dreadful company who sadly cannot be trusted. As a general rule, make sure that you only pay for building work which is actually completed in full and not the other way round. Initially, Dan will promise you the moon but as soon as the work is underway, he will inevitably demand more and more money upfront for work which he never ever completes. Furthermore, as justification for his unprofessional behaviour, shoddy workmanship and subsequent inaction, Dan will unilaterally and arbitrarily insist upon additional money as 'extras' for previously agreed work in contravention of that which was originally agreed from the outset. Thereafter, you will be on your own as he will run off with your money. Ultimately, beware of a wolf in sheep's clothing. Do yourself a favour and find another builder.
