Francesco, Sharmaine and the team expertly refurbished and redesigned our house, which we had lived in for over 10 years. We were extremely pleased with the result. It was like moving into a new, more elegant home. Francesco both listened and communicated effectively and made sure that we were satisfied. We were impressed by the attention to detail. He made sure the work was done to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend Francesco and will certainly use him and his team in the future. Sharmaine was truly amazing assisting with the interior design. She had to work with my wife and I, as well as our 2 teenage daughters, all with very different opinions of how the house should look. It could not have been easy but somehow she made all of us happy. So to sum up, we could not be happier.

Francesco and his team are exceptional builders of the absolute highest standard and attention to detail. Francesco helped us recover after we were scammed by a cowboy builder. We renovated two bedrooms, a bathroom a hallway and a staircase in our maisonette flat in south london. We know that it was not the ideal project for him, to pickup a botched renovation midway through. We are incredibly thankful to Francesco for his empathy and kindness and we are very impressed with the end results. Francesco's professional and friendly approach is sure to make this a very successful company. I recommend Cortese Construction to all my friends now.

We did a side extension (2 storey) as well as a whole house renovation project with Francesco last year. From day one we were impressed with his knowledge and expertise, but the main thing that I would call out was his friendly approach and trustworthiness. He would always explain things to us in a very approachable way, give us the options we had as well as the advise to make our own decisions, making us feel part of the project. He was always very patient with us when making those decisions was taking a bit longer than expected or when we would ask to revisit a decision that we had already made. All the people in his team were absolutely brilliant at their work and also very friendly. We (a family of five and a dog) were living in the house whilst the works were taking place so we often had to move things from one room to another, put things back at the end of the day so that we could use our bedrooms, etc., etc. Everyone worked really hard to deliver a high quality final product. Francesco's friendliness and professionalism ensures successful relationships with other third parties: architect, local authorities, building control, suppliers, designer, etc., which is paramount to the smoothness of the project. We have been delighted to work with Francesco and Sharmaine and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In fact, we already did and some of our friends have also had great experiences working with them. Recently, after one and a half years since we completed the work, we called Francesco to help with a few issues we had, unrelated to the work that was done, and he very kindly fitted us in and resolved the problem.

Cortese Construction refurbished our bathroom and redid the stairs. The whole process was smooth. Francesco is very professional and also very friendly. He explained the different options we had, with pros and cons. Francesco takes pride in delivering high-quality work and adds little details that make things look much nicer. He's a rare find.

Francesco and his team repaired damages from water infiltrations in my flat which affected walls, ceilings, skirting, lights and many more areas of the property. He restored my flat to a very high standard, utilising quality products and providing advice on the best solutions which were always combined with aesthetic needs. Francesco and his team have also been great in putting up with my being picky with the details! I couldn't recommend them more!
