Charles Henderson Construction project managed my full house renovation, from start to finish. Whilst not being able to undertake the work, due to their busy workload I wanted them to be involved and ask if they would manage the project for me. They prepared full working plans and sorted out the planning permission. They also prepared building work contract for my builder to sign and advised on how best to resolve any issues throughout the renovation process. The project was completed successfully, but I couldn’t have done it without Charles Henderson Construction Management holding my hand throughout the process.

We were extremely pleased with the level of work and finishing completed for my parents design and build single storey house extension Sept 2021- Mar 2022. The works were for a 30m2 rear of house ‘Granny flat,’ with a sloped roof/flat portion featuring Velux windows, with bathroom and underfloor heating throughout. The whole project was very much the design and build concept, working with Henderson and the architect to customise to my parents very exacting requirements. The space itself has such a high roof (we went as high as allowed within the building restrictions) that it immediately transformed the space feeling light, airy and bright. The work was unfortunately pushed back a few times due to a few reasons as much to do with us as them where there was another job that ran over and we had to agree to a Party Wall consultation with our neighbour which Henderson was able to helpfully advise me on. The other very unfortunate thing was that demand hit the roof during the pandemic, which resulted in a sizeable price increase to the total project price due to the rising in cost of materials. The works themselves weren’t done without any problems but given this was the first time we had undertaken any building work this was almost to be expected, and having said that any issues were sorted immediately directly through Henderson- who was on site constantly throughout the project and a phone call away if not. Henderson and his extensive team were all experts at their various stages of the project, communicated very well throughout and made sure the job was completed to a high spec. Henderson has many contacts in the business and knew that we intended on adding a kitchenette within the space so was able provide his contact through Howdens. Although we did not end up going down this route as my parents are still deciding, he was able to recommend a painter to provide the finishing touches- this we did take him up and we are glad we did as the professional paint job made such a difference to the final look and feel. I don’t usually write reviews but where builders don’t generally have a good reputation, I found it necessary to try to right that misconception. I am super grateful we found Henderson and we were really lucky as I actually found him through his high reviews ratings on google. Having met him I was immediately reassured by his experience, knowledge and friendly but helpful nature. What transpired through working with him on this project was that he actually cares about the work he produces and his customers. Which I believe is not just a rare quality to have in the building world but in general life. I was looking for experience paired with professionalism but also at a reasonable cost. Him and his team are not only the best in their fields but 100% trustworthy and upfront making valid and helpful recommendations along the way working with you and your budget. I would not hesitate to recommend him and am already looking to have more work done in the form of an outbuilding and potentially loft conversion further down the line. He has given me the confidence to not only trust in builders and building work but ignited the building bug within me. As you may know any builder worth their salt will be very busy, (especially in this climate) and Henderson is no exception. So get in there quick and snap him up. CHC turned my victorian terrace house in north London into my dream home with an amazing loft conversion after being told by numerous builders the ceilings would have to be lowered in order to have the loft converted I contacted Charles he came round and did a full investigation of the loft and informed me the ceilings would NOT have to be lowered to have the loft converted I was over the moon with this news as lowering the ceilings would of been a nightmare!!! CHC carried out the work in a timely fashion and kept me in the loop throughout from start to finish Charles and his team are true professionals I would 100% recommend them thank you again Henderson

CHC project managed and undertook renovation work to our studio flat in Bayswater. As is expected we were a little apprehensive when we first embarked on this project as it was our first time having any building or renovation work done. Right from the initial discussions Henderson made us feel at complete ease and guided us smoothly through the works. We never had to worry about anything as him and his team were always on hand to answer any queries and helped us design and delivered a renovated flat we absolutely love. The quality of the work is better than we ever expected, such a high quality finish not just in the products but quality of refurbishment, from the floors, paint to the fixtures. We are so delighted with the work. We would highly recommend Charles Henderson to anyone embarking on a building project as they delivered a first class service!
