Build Team

I couldn't be more pleased with the work carried out by Build Team. From start to finish, Dan, Mark and the team ensured that we were kept informed of what was going to happen and when, so I could organise my family around the works. I would say Build Team made it as easy and hassle-free as humanly possible. We're so pleased with our new extension. Having endured the problems of having major works carried out on our house in the form of a loft extension, I was aware of the pitfalls of incurring a poor builder. I was very fortunate to have Build Team as they were professional all throughout the build. It was a truly wonderful experience (something I never thought I would ever say about a major build). We used Build Team for the design, planning and construction of our side return extension. We fully recommend them. Having done numerous projects this was by far the easiest and most stress-free (especially as we lived in the house whilst the works were happening). A fantastic wraparound extension. The whole experience from start to finish was managed by Sandra Ditchfield-Ortiz. My wife and I give her 100%. She was always available at the end of the phone to support and guide us. She stuck not only to her word, but she knew the contract and always referred to it, which was a breath of fresh air. So on behalf of my wife and I. Thank you so much Sandra. Also thank you Gustavo for the support you also gave Sandra when needed, working well as a team. The project was planned from start to finish, so there was no confusion about payments, and was very direct with the workers which didn’t always make her popular to them, but for us, we would not have reached the standard or the end results we were working towards without her persistence. Sandra once again on behalf of my wife and I. Thank you. Going forward we would definitely recommend Build Team to anyone considering a build of any kind but most of all I would recommend Sandra head them because she always made us feel safe and secure. We used Build Team for the build part of our project and my only regret is not using them for the whole process. Before we signed the contract they regularly checked in and provided support and advice where possible. We have never done any sort of renovation before and found our Project Manager Gustavo’s knowledge and experience invaluable. He effectively communicated updates to us whilst handling the technical details with our Builders DMarku Construction. Having worked with a few other companies at the beginning of the project I would recommend Build Team and use their services again.

We used BuildTeam for both the design and build of our side return extension in East London. We selected BuildTeam as they offered a comprehensive service to guide us through the entire process, from design and planning permission to contractor selection and project management. They were also very responsive to our questions and concerns, and were always available to help. We are very pleased with the results of the build, and the contractor they selected was a pleasure to work with (Kudos to Edy!). We would highly recommend BuildTeam to family and friends considering a house extension project.

We used Build Team for both the design and build of our kitchen extension in north London. I found them all very pleasant and friendly to work with and they were professional throughout the project. We were assigned some fantastic contractors, who really helped to bring our vision to life and were super-responsive at all times. We are really happy with the final results and given the scale of the project, enjoyed a relatively stress-free experience.

We achieved the result we wanted, but only by becoming deeply involved in managing every detail of the project ourselves. We had expected to get useful advice and support with scheduling and managing progress and dependencies. Sandra our build manager did not help us resolve any of the problems that arose and was unable to explain building issues or regulatory requirements. She defined her role so narrowly it amounted to little more than ticking off dates and telling us we should pay more. After good progress in the early weeks Harrison the builder seemed to decide we were no longer a priority: he became argumentative and unhelpful and tried to press us into pointless additional work. The last two months, after the original target had been passed, were a nightmare.
