We recently had our loft converted by Alex and his team at AGL, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the onset, we faced some challenges with party wall issues with our neighbour, but Alex assured us that after this the construction phase would be the straightforward part. Admittedly, I was skeptical at first, but true to his word, the building work was smooth sailing. Alex and his crew were not only polite and considerate but also remarkably resilient, working diligently through all types of weather to ensure our loft was completed in time for Christmas. Their dedication paid off, and we had a wonderful holiday season hosting my family in the new space. The level of professionalism, efficiency, and quality of work delivered by AGL is commendable. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and would recommend them without hesitation. If you're considering a loft conversion, you're in good hands with Alex and his team. We feel fortunate to have chosen them for this project and are thrilled with the results.

We’ve recently completed our L-shaped dormer loft conversion with AGL. We are thrilled with the new space and the quality of the work. The whole team were professional, friendly and all round good guys. Alex went above and beyond for us on countless occasions to make sure we were happy and to ensure it was as easy as possible for us. Things might have been complicated by needing to have ceilings lowered in our children’s existing room as well as having had a baby less than 2 weeks before the work began but it was absolutely fine which is hugely in part to the way Alex runs things. The kids got used to seeing his face around as he popped in to update us and talk through progress regularly. Work was finished to time, budget and exceeded our expectations. I was nervous on how to choose a company after hearing about problematic builders, but I have recommended AGL and Alex to my closest friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.

It's been just over 1yr since AGL Lofts did our L shaped loft recently and so wanted to wait a while before writing a review to ensure we had thoroughly used it. We were and remain very happy with the results. Before works began we had our own ideas with what we wanted and after presenting them to Alex and the architect we had to make some minor changes with clear explanations as to why. We continued to live in the house during the works and although it got messy at times the team did their upmost to leave each day as tidy as possible. This was my first experience at such level of house works and wanted to stay close to each stage of the job and so asked many questions throughout, although Alex was not on site every day his team were able to answer all my questions and on the rare occasions they could not (usually design spec), Alex would contact me not long after with an answer and explanation. There were 2 minor instances during works. As we began at the tail end of winter we experienced a storm which resulted in water ingress through the temporary roofing, I called Alex and the roofer was on site within the hour to seal the leak, no harm done. The other was Alex's use of a plasterer who did a great job but left a few splatterings of plaster on the uncovered walls, a quick call to Alex and a team member was on site to make good. There will always be minor niggles with works but they were always resolved quickly and reasonably. I have called Alex twice in the past 1yr, both minor issues and his team attended next day and resolved same day.

We're really happy with our L-shaped loft conversion. Alex and his team were professional and friendly from start to finish. The project was on time and on budget, no hidden extras! Definitely recommend them.

From Day 1, Alex was brilliant! When he first came to give us a quote for our loft conversion, he clearly explained the project, time scales and what it would involve. He provided us with the best price out of 4 quotes within days of seeing us. He and his team delivered the project exactly to the cost and timescale that he had set out. We have an old (Edwardian mid terrace) house and it was clear that Alex and his team have expertise and experience in this area. We had a particular layout in mind and while Alex was happy to go with our plan, he was also able to gently steer us into a much better layout. Early on in the build, he took us up onto the roof, giving us the opportunity to visualise exactly what the different layouts would look like. We went with Alex’s recommendation and could not be happier with the end result. All of Alex’s team were excellent, friendly, courteous and very respectful. We have two nervous cats who we initially planned to place in a cattery during the build. Alex was very mindful of this and we were able to keep our cats at home with minimal disruption to them and our cats were safe at all times. As with any build, there were a few snags along the way but these were resolved very quickly. Alex was on site for much of the time and when he wasn’t, was always contactable by phone and Whatapp and responded to us very quickly, even coming out during a huge storm late on a Sunday night when we had concerns. We are still decorating and furnishing our new rooms (two double bedrooms and bathroom) but we are delighted with our new space. He came highly recommended by our neighbours (and has completed at least 2 other projects in our street alone) and we would not hesitate to recommend AGL
