Lee Protheroe1 StarA shambles from start to finish. Installed an extractor hood in the kitchen which effectively sucked cooking smells directly in to the bedroom upstairs rather than outside! The list of shambolic behaviour and workmanship is too long to list here, but included one chap helping himself to a few cans of my Guinness!Saturday 27th January 2024
Michelle Williams5 StarOur Project manager was Rich and he was excellent!! as were Vio and Alex, they were so respectful of our home for that I am so grateful.
All concerned worked so hard over the 6 weeks and nothing was too much trouble.
All the tradesman that were onsite over the 6 weeks were all pleasant, polite and respectful.
We had a couple of issues but everything was dealt with in the most professional manner.
The whole project from start to finish was handled by A1 and we were kept informed throughout the whole process.Wednesday 13th December 2017
Edward Salter5 StarA1 Lofts & Extensions designed, planned and built a first rate loft for my family and I. They were professional and courteous at all times. The planning was efficient and approval from the Council quick. Construction had to be undertaken with a party wall agreement as both my neighbours were in dispute to the build, with one of them clearly objecting to any construction whatsoever. Under these tense circumstances A1 Lofts took the requirements on board and implemented them professionally. The construction workmen were a very hard working and punctual team who kept things very tidy. The loft build was solid, attractive but posed several challenges due to its small size. These were overcome with ingenuity born from talent and expertise developed from the team having built a lot of lofts. The supervisor (team leader) was always in contact with us and friendly. It was easy to trust him with our house when the particularly messy and disturbing parts of the build occurred. I could not have been more pleased with my work crew. The support from the office staff at A1 Lofts was equally good and forthcoming. The company kept to budget very well and were flexible when changes had to be made. I thoroughly recommend A1 Lofts & Extensions with 5 stars because it is a company that will work with you to build a beautiful loft. S5 StarOur home refurbishment and extension are now complete and we are unbelievably happy with the final result. A1 realised our dream. We would recommend them without reservation. Having previously wasted hours and spent too much money with architects and potential builders, we were recommended to consider A1. From the very start, Steve Mills and Rikki-Lee understood our ideas and skilfully suggested possible additions to our project. A1 took control of everything from drawings, planning permission and build, allowing us to feel involved and reassured about our home development. The building team were hard-working, skilled and were always willing to go the extra mile. Ruth and Chris, our project managers were without doubt a tremendous asset to the whole project, always available and terribly insightful and knowledgable. Christopher Howe5 StarI just wanted to drop you a line to give some feedback on A1 and Darryl the Project manager, who in my view he provided an outstanding professional and dedicated service, this was evident in the way he approached each phase of the project from start to finish.
The key attributes to this were;
Always engaged
Treating his team with respect
Using the right subcontractors who's focus was on quality
Great levels of communication
High level of integrity
One of my observations was he's passion to get the right trades to support him, from Pavel (Dormer construction), Chris (roofer) Roman (electrician) all worked to support and as important respected each other’s trade and work.
I'm sure A1 has a number of teams that get both positive and negative feedback, Darryl as a team leader is in my view an asset and ambassador to A1 and if you have a performance management system I would suggest he would be at the top.
